I’ve been awesome about working out since I set my goals. I’ve run twice (whooping 6 miles), been on the elliptical and/or the stationary bike four times. I’ve even been doing my weights. Granted it’s only been a week, but this is major progress from a few weeks back. Hopefully the last of this horrid headache will be gone for me to hit the dreadmill for a few miles tonight. If not, tomorrow I’m all over it!
In other news, we scheduled our anatomy scan ultrasound. On February 22nd we’ll get to find out the sex! That is as long as Peanut isn’t shy and shows us the goods. I’m sure the next five weeks will drag because I’m so anxious to see our little one and find out if it’s a girl or boy. At our first ultrasound Peanut didn’t look like much, but this time we’ll see the little arms, legs, fingers and toes. We’ll even get to see his/her little face. There is a 3D machine available, but I’m not sure if we’re going to request that or just do the regular one. We’ll see.
Belly is officially starting to pop out. Yesterday Josh said, “Wow! Look at your belly!” Of course at first I was like um, let’s not sound so shocked and slightly grossed out shall we? But then I thought, he was probably just so surprised that it’s really starting to pop, he said the first thing that came to his mind. Weight gain to date is only 2.5 lbs, but apparently it’s all in the belly. It’s amazing what a difference a week or even a few days can make.
We’ll take a new picture next week when I hit 16 weeks.
