Partie Week-end

The summer is just starting and already I’m exhausted. Busy busy busy, but of course in the best possible way. The weekend started off right with me getting off work early and being able to take Lucky for a 3.1 mile walk in the summer-like weather. By the time we got home I was off to clean up for my b-day dinner at Martini’s Bistro. Delicious as usual, though I really missed having a martini with my dinner.

Josh got the garage sale bug on Saturday morning. I woke up early and got myself over to the gym for a 45 minute workout because I knew the day was going to be filled with eating. Josh got annoyed with me when I was being picky about porta-cribs and such. I did buy a few little sleeper outfits for when Peanut is older. Oh and a little rocking chair which we’ll have to change the name on.

Before I knew it, Josh was dropping me off at Le Central for my third baby shower. My stepmom Liz was nice enough to put this one together with some of our family friends.

The food was so delicious! Of course, I didn’t take a picture, doh. But I had this amazing French toast that had strawberries and pastry cream sandwiched in-between the pieces of toast. I couldn’t even come close to finishing it.

After brunch it was gift time! All I can say is that our daughter is going to be impeccably dressed! She now has four pairs of shoes and a way better wardrobe than I have. I’m going to have to change her clothes a lot, especially during the first 3 months just so I can make sure she wears them all. She’s going to look so cute! Thanks again to all everyone and especially Liz, for your generosity! (I’ll have to post more pics later)

Obviously eating and opening gifts wears me out because I got back to my Dad and Liz’s house and promptly fell asleep for 2 hours. Much needed to get me ready for party #2 for the day at Russell’s.

Luckily the BBQ was nice and low key with just about a dozen or so of us. Our friends Drew and Melissa brought their adorable boys. It’s amazing how much our parties have changed, even since Josh’s b-day party back in October. We’re growing up!

You’d think we’d be partied out, but nope, we had one more celebration on Sunday morning for our nephew Dominic who turned two on Saturday. What do you get when you combine donuts and 12 kids? Craziness! It was a nice morning though.

Luckily it’s been a fairly a low key week. Two yoga sessions this week, yeay! Just what I need for my tired body.
