A Plan of Attack

What’s the best way to keep myself motivated?  Having a plan of attack for this running thing.  I decided that if I’m going to achieve my goal of running a half marathon before the end of the year, I need to create a training plan.  If I have a plan to stick to, there are no more excuses and I’ll be able to achieve the goal without overtraining and injuring myself.  Gone are the days of willy nilly training.

I’m not going totally crazy with a super intense plan. I decided on Hal Higdon’s Novice plan.  Of course I’m not really a novice, but after such a long break, I feel like it.  Once I get into it, if it’s not challenging enough for me, I’ll switch over to the novice 2 or intermediate.  Training starts Monday!  I’m excited and looking forward to building back up my endurance…oh and losing those last pesky baby pounds.
