Postpartum Shape Up Week One

And it begins…yeay!  This is the start of my plan to get myself back in shape.  It started last night with the best run I’ve had since oh about four months into my pregnancy.

Distance: 3 miles   Time: 31:30   Avg. Pace: 10:29 min/miles

Still on the slow side for me, but a full minute and a half faster per mile than I had been doing and no walk breaks.  Yeay me!

Here’s the plan for the rest of the week:

Today-Crosstraining
Wednesday-2 mile run
Thursday-3 mile run + strength
Friday-Off
Saturday- 4 mile run
Sunday- Stretch & Strength

Last night when I stepped on the scale I was at 136 lbs but this morning it said 139, so I’m going to go in the middle with 137.5 ish as my starting weight.  When I got pregnant I was 131 thanks to some indulging during our awesome trip to London and Paris.  During pregnancy I gained 32 lbs.  My goal is to get back down to 128.

I have my schedule hanging at my desk at work and on the fridge at home so Josh can hold me accountable as well.  Favorite jeans, here I come!

P.S. Best thing ever last night, Ella slept from 9pm-4:30am.  I got almost 6 hours of continuous sleep!  I did have to get up for an emergency 5 minute pumping session but hey, that’s so much better than an hour and a half in the middle of the night.  When she woke up I was able to feed her, get her dressed, play with her a little bit and have her keep me company as I got ready for work.  It was so nice.  Fingers crossed she’ll continue this pattern!
