Colorful Colorado Sunday

It was a beautiful day for a hike. We packed up and headed to Estes Park for the day. First things first, we had to stop for some drinks at Kind Coffee, the best coffee shop in Estes.  Once refreshed we drove up into Rocky Mountain National Park.

Ella did pretty well on her first hike.

After the hike Josh drove us up Fall River Road which took us to Trail Ridge Road, the highest paved road in the country.  This road makes me nervous!

We stopped at one of the pull offs and hopped out for a quick picture.

We should have known better than to go to Estes during the Elk Festival but we really wanted to see some of the leaves changing.

Traffic was moving so slowly out of the park, that we decided to pull over and let Ella out of her carseat for a while.  Oh and we saw this huge elk just chillin in the trees.

By the time we got home we were all tired.  Josh made us dinner and Ella was asleep by 7 which was amazing.
