Postpartum Shape Up Week Six

Week Five Wrap-Up:

Total Mileage: 13 miles   Avg. Pace: 9:58 min/miles

I took it nice and easy with my runs last week. My knee really appreciates it. Yesterday I completed my longest run since the Turkey Trot last year, a whole 6 miles. I have to say I’m pretty proud of myself though. My Garmin did not want to cooperate with me, so I left it at home and set a timer. Even without Garmin’s motivation, I maintained a pace under 10 min/miles. Now that pace was like 9:45ish, but that is just fine with me. I was enjoying one of the last nice fall days we’re going to have before the snow comes.

This is what I’m going to try to do this week:

Monday-40 mins cross-train
Tuesday-Off (It’s Josh’s birthday, let’s be realistic)
Wednesday-4 mile run
Thursday-Cross-train
Friday-4 mile run
Saturday-5k (Maybe Eerie Erie)
Sunday-Cross-train or rest

My schedule says I should do a 5k race this weekend. I’m contemplating the Eerie Erie, but considering we’re supposed to get up to 10 inches of snow on Wednesday, I’m going to wait to see what the weekend weather is going to be like.

My weight this morning was a happy surprise. I’m standing at 133 on the dot. That’s even after going out for Indian food with Rache on Friday, burgers with Thalia (after walking 3.5 miles of course) on Saturday and dinner with my dad and Liz on Sunday. Plus a few black and white cookies and some wine. Hey it was girls weekend.

I tried on my favorite jeans…I was able to button them! But there was a little bit of a back bulge situation. I’m getting there! I should really take a few measurements one of these days.
