Postpartum Shape Up Week 7

I’m behind once again on updating. It’s amazing how quickly the days fly by. Last week I had a great week exercise wise. I ran, I cross-trained. It was awesome.

It’s also where I seemed to have left my motivation. Between Ella being in the midst of sleep regression and stress at work, I’m just tired and feeling blah.

The scale is exactly where it was last week, 133. For a moment this weekend it was down to 131 but then went right back up to where it had been on Monday which is official weigh in day. It still means that I only have 5lbs to go until I reach my goal. To date I’ve lost about 9.5 inches around my waist and 29 of the 32 lbs I gained. In order to try to move past this plateau and tighten up, I’m joining Kimberly’s challenge to add weights to my routine. I’ve been so bad about doing weight lifting.

Week Six Wrap-Up:

Total Miles: 14.5 miles   Avg. Pace: 9:39 min/miles

I’m starting to feel like my old running self again. I think once I add in some speed workouts, I’ll really see an improvement in my pace.

Hopefully I’ll find my motivation today and be able to carry it through the weekend.

Monday-Do running up and down stairs and multiple trips to the door to hand out candy count as exercise? I thought not.

Tuesday- Ran 1 whooping mile. I just couldn’t get into it and once our power flickered nearly sending my crashing off the treadmill, I was done.

Wednesday-4.5 mile run
Thursday-2-3 mile run or cross-train
Friday- Being realistic, rest day.
Saturday- Cheering Josh on during his first 1/2 marathon and 5k for me.
Sunday-3.5 mile run

I’m looking forward to next week when I’ll attempt an 8 mile run! Motivation I really need you to stick with me.

How do you get yourself motivated when you just don’t feel like exercising?
