State to State

Yesterday I flew to DC from Denver. Flight was delayed and then we had to go back to the gate due to a ‘security issue.” Luckily it was taken care of and we were able to get on with our flight. Had I not gotten this cupcake I would have been really upset.

Turns out United is celebrating serving the Denver market for 75 years. We arrived just about an hour late and had to rush off to dinner…it was the best Indian meal I’ve ever had…maybe my best meal ever.

Today I did something I’ve never done. I ran from one state to another. I started in National Harbor, MD.

Ran across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge:

Ended up in Alexandria, VA.

Then ran back again. It was just about 6 miles round trip and it felt good despite the humidity.

I’ve now run in two states I had never been to prior to this week. Friday I think I’m going to go run the National Mall prior to the opening of the show for the day. I don’t want to miss out on seeing some of the sites.
